Saudi Umrah Visa Multiply each year

Makkah, IslamNewsToday.com – Saudi Arabia has decided to double the number of Umrah visas issued per year. It is related to the completion of a number of expansion projects Haram.

“We have an ambitious plan to double the number of Umrah pilgrims in the next five years,” said Minister of Haj Bandar Al-Hajjar told Saudi Gazette , as reported by onislam.net , Wednesday October 14th.

He added that the beginning of 2016, 1.25 million Umrah pilgrims are expected to come each month. The number increased almost three-fold compared with the number now reaching 400,000 Umrah visas per month.

Hajjar said the new system is intended to increase the number of pilgrims in line with the expansion of the Grand Mosque project by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minister Haji said he will meet soon Umrah business owners to discuss plans for 1437 H Umrah season that will begin mid-November. He called for deeper coordination between all the agencies to provide the best services to pilgrims and Umrah. According to the ministry of pilgrimage, five million Umrah visas issued in 2013 and six million in 2014 and 2015. The Ministry of Hajj expected to spend 10 million visas in 2016 and 60 million in 2018.
