The Yemen Times recently sat down with Abdul Othman, the deputy manager of the PR Department of the Yemen Ministry of Tourism. He believes that Islamic Tourism can make Yemen a key player in the niche market, with its vast number of religiously significant historical sites.
The concern still remains with all the in-fighting between government and extremist forces within the region.
