Jeju Island launches new visitor guide for Muslim tourists

Waterfall_on_Jeju_Island,_Korea Jeju Island has today published a new visitor guide to attract and enhance the travel experience of Muslim tourists to the unique Island destination. The new Muslim Travel Guide to Jeju Island focuses on meeting the needs of Muslim travellers by helping them to discover the best places to visit, shop, dine and pray on the South Korean Island. Titled “Experience Jeju Island, A Traveller’s Haven” it showcases Jeju Island’s stunning range of landscapes, enchanting culture and variety of enthralling activities. The 12 page guide, which is available in English, has been compiled by Jeju Tourism Association and leading online travel platform HalalTrip.com. The new guide is now being distributed among travel agents and partners while a downloadable format is available from HalalTrip.com. The Muslim travel market is today one of the fastest growing sectors globally projected to be worth $200 billion by 2020. Jeju Island is a particularly attractive destination for Muslim tourists from across the world keen to explore one of the most unique cultural destinations in Asia. Young Jin Kim, President of the Jeju Tourism Association said:  “We are very keen to welcome tourist from all parts of the world to have a unique and unforgettable experience in our Island. “Jeju offers visitors with a stunning range of landscapes, enchanting lifestyles, and a whole variety of enthralling activities. We worked with HalalTrip to put together this guide so that Muslim visitors to Jeju can now enjoy all what we have to offer” The guide is divided into sections focusing on providing information on attractions and experiences across the Island including the best shopping destinations. It also highlights the places to dine in the region featuring local seafood and vegetarian restaurants which have been rated by CrescentRating- the world’s leading authority on Halal travel.  The final section in the guide focuses on places to pray and mosques within the Island. Jeju Island is among the most unique destinations in Asia with experiences across every season of the year. Situated just off the coast of South Korea, the 700 square mile Island is home to iconic tourist attractions such as the dormant Hallasan Volcano, distinctive features of extensive volcanic rock and lava tubes, caves, evergreen forests, coastline and fields of blossoming fragrant flowers.
